Outside of my office window I have this view…

Over the past 6 months I have had the opportunity to connect back with the nature spirits, with the land, with the seasons.

So. Many. Lessons.

The gumtrees in the picture have just about finished shedding their bark.

Interestingly they don’t have to think about it, procrastinate or plan the perfect moment; they just do it.

The process is stunningly beautiful.

The slow peeling away of the bark allows the sun to kiss the trees new skin in the most beautiful way.

The excess bark simply falls to the earth and becomes part of the eco system.

No need to burn, rake up, dispose of it.

The shed bark provides nurturing and hideaways for other plants and animals, and is used for their own evolution.

All connected, all beautiful.

I find it’s a beautiful metaphor for our own emotional evolution.

*All parts of us are beautiful and necessary

*Shedding can, and will, happen regardless

*Someone will always benefit from our own lived experience

*Softly, gently

*The shedding process is beautiful in itself ❤

How can you be more “gumtree like” in your life today?
